A double-sided UV roll printing system in which two linked machines print sides A and B of the material. For single-sided work it doubles the speed. It comes in two sizes with 3200 and 5200 mm maximum material width. It is aimed at producers printing flexible film, coated banner, vehicle vinyl, posters and backlit film.
It uses a heated intermediate ink tank, dual guide rails with linear motors and a rigid chassis. It has a water-cooled vacuum platform and a material path for two-sided printing on a single machine. Media is fed roll-to-roll with automatic feeding and take-up. Heads are cleaned with independent positive pressure and automatic purging, and curing is by LG LED UV lamp.
The heads are 3 rows of Konica 1024A on the 320 cm model and 4 rows on the 520 cm model, with a 6 pL drop volume. The BYHX control system handles 16 channels and up to 32 heads, and provides ICC colour management with curve and density adjustment. Colours are C, M, Y, K, LC, LM, W and LK.
Weigh speed and width together when choosing. CMYK double-sided speed is 60 m²/h on the 320 cm model and 74 on the 520 cm model; CMYK single-sided is 120 and 148 m²/h. For backlit work, production mode gives 75 and 96 and quality mode gives 57 and 72 m²/h. The catalogue gives a maximum material thickness of 10 / 48 mm, pending confirmation, so ask in advance about thick material.

Your material width decides it: the 320 cm model carries 3 rows of heads and the 520 cm model 4 rows. CMYK double-sided speed is 60 and 74 m²/h. Floor space differs too, with machine dimensions of 5750 × 1250 × 1750 mm and 7800 × 1500 × 2150 mm.
The linked setup doubles the speed on single-sided work. On the 320 cm model, for example, CMYK double-sided runs at 60 m²/h and single-sided at 120 m²/h. That keeps the capacity useful in periods with little double-sided work.
Backlit production mode gives 75 m²/h on the 320 cm model and 96 on the 520 cm model; quality mode gives 57 and 72 m²/h. With colour plus white, the 320 cm model drops to 38 m²/h. Backlighting can change how colours read, so judge from a sample.
The catalogue gives a maximum material thickness of 10 / 48 mm, and this figure is pending confirmation. The system is set up for flexible roll media, so ask at quotation if you plan to run thick or rigid material. For rigid boards, the hybrid UV or UV flatbed machines are a better fit.
The power supply is AC 220 V (±10%), 50–60 Hz, at 5000 W, in an operating environment of 20–30 °C and 30–65% humidity. RIP software is PhotoPrint and data runs over USB 3.0.
