An industrial UV flatbed printer that prints directly on rigid materials such as acrylic, wood boards, leather, phone cases, ceramics, glass and metal. Print areas of 244 × 122, 320 × 200 and 320 × 250 cm are available. The material stays on a fixed table while the carriage moves over it, which suits thick, rigid parts that cannot be fed from a roll.
It uses industrial Konica 9888H print heads and is configured with 3 to 10 heads in different colour, white and varnish layouts. Standard print height is 100 mm, rising to 450 mm on special order. Smart anti-collision and automatic carriage height help protect the head on taller work.
The dual negative pressure system switches between positive and negative. It has separate ink purging and automatic cleaning per colour, white ink circulation with automatic stirring, and a 4-litre ink tank with level alarm. The print table is scaled, sectioned aluminium alloy with less than 0.1 mm deviation. The ink cures under LED light.
It is aimed at makers of signs, channel letters, window displays, promotional items and leather accessories. 3 heads / 2 rows gives CMYK + white, and 4 heads / 3 rows gives white + CMYK + varnish. 6 heads / 3 rows comes as 2×CMYK + 2×white or 3×CMYK, 8 heads / 4 rows as 4×CMYK, and 10 heads / 4 rows as 4×CMYK + 2×white. For varnish work look at the 4-head layout; if you do not need white and want more colour capacity, look at 8 heads.
On a flatbed the material stays on a fixed table, and print height is 100 mm, or 450 mm on special order. That is the deciding difference for thick parts and object printing. If you also take on roll work, compare it with the hybrid series.
The standard 100 mm covers most board and panel work. If you print bulky boxes, thick panels or tall objects, discuss the 450 mm special-order option at quotation. Sharing the size of your tallest part is enough to get started.
It prints on acrylic, wood board, leather, phone cases, ceramics, glass and metal. UV ink adhesion can vary by surface, so it is sensible to test your own samples on materials such as glass and metal.
