UV Laser Marking Machine, inside and out
From frame design to hardware options: how the machine works and which jobs and production lines it suits.
This marking machine has a UV laser source. With a height-adjustable column, a slotted clamping table and a monitor workstation it marks small parts precisely. It is used in production where text, logos, codes and fine graphics have to be applied to a part.
The beam is focused onto the part through a lens, the column height is set to suit the part, and the part is clamped on the slotted table. UV lasers work at a short wavelength; because this type of source puts less heat into the material, it is preferred for heat-sensitive parts. Laser power is 3, 5 or 10 W.
It suits gift and promotional products as well as electrical, electronic and panel components. UV marking is also generally used on plastics, glass, ceramics and coated surfaces; testing on your own part is the reliable way to confirm suitability.
When choosing, look at part size and how fine the work is. Depending on the lens, the marking area ranges from 70 × 70 mm to 300 × 300 mm: 70 × 70, 120 × 120, 180 × 180, 230 × 230 or 300 × 300 mm. As a general rule the spot gets larger as the area grows, so for fine work avoid a lens wider than you need. The catalogue gives no dimensions or weight.

About UV Laser Marking Machine
For codes and serial numbers on metal parts, a fiber laser is often enough. For plastics, glass or heat-sensitive surfaces, UV is the better fit. If you run mixed production, tell us your parts so we can narrow down the choice.
The area depends on the lens: 70 × 70, 120 × 120, 180 × 180, 230 × 230 or 300 × 300 mm. Choosing the smallest area that covers the marked section of your part usually gives better results on fine work.
It depends on the material, marking depth and pace of work. More power generally helps finish the same job in less time, while lower power can be enough for fine surface work. Assessing it with a sample part is the sensible approach.
The slotted clamping table is there to secure the part, and the height-adjustable column lets you set the focus distance to suit it. For repeat jobs you can prepare a clamping layout on the table for your part.
