CNC Router — Open Gantry, inside and out
From frame design to hardware options: how the machine works and which jobs and production lines it suits.
The open gantry layout gives access to the table from three sides, making it easier to feed long material, place parts by hand and collect finished pieces. In workshops that change jobs often it shortens set-up time and simplifies loading large sheets.
This machine is the NEXORA series: a reinforced chassis, CDF or WPC bed, OLI SME103 6 kW spindle (24,000 rpm) and ER32 manual tool change, designed for regular production. Delta ASDA-B3-E AC servo motors, APEX PEII gearboxes (≤7 arc/min), HIWIN HG linear guides and YYC helical racks deliver ±0.07 mm per 1000 mm; cutting speed is 20 m/min and rapid traverse 36 m/min.
The working area is configured from 160×280 cm up to 300×1200 cm, with a machining height of 10–120 cm. Vacuum source, number of zones and control method are chosen separately. Dust extraction, automatic loading, product labelling, bed sweeping, aggregate and saw units, vacuum pods, a drilling group and nesting software are optional.
When choosing, look at how material reaches the bed and how often you change tools. If tool changes are frequent, consider the ATC option; for constant high-volume output compare ZENITH, and for basic cutting and engraving compare ORIGO. Machine dimensions and weight are finalised with the final design.

With access to the table from three sides, feeding long material, placing parts by hand and collecting finished work all get easier. In workshops that change jobs often, this shortens set-up. Loading large sheets is simpler too.
NEXORA is designed for production that is regular but not constantly at full pace. If you run intensive work all the time and need automatic tool change as standard, look at the heavier ZENITH. Your production pace and target accuracy decide it.
The standard setup uses manual tool changes with an ER32 collet. If one part needs many tools, ask about the automatic tool change (ATC) option. Aggregate and saw units and a drilling group are also on the options list.
The bed comes in CDF or WPC. The vacuum source is a blower or dry-type pump, with 4, 6 or custom zoning. Control can be a manual valve, via PC or dynamic vacuum zones through PRIME CONTROL.
